A downloadable asset pack

THIS IS A PREFAB, NOT A PLACEABLE. ONLY WORKS IN GE, NOT AS AN IN-GAME PLACEABLE OBJECT. THIS IS MEANT FOR MAP MAKERS.

I did not model these poles, they were originally modeled by Kanistra Studio.

This prefab kit comes with five (5) options of highly-detailed, American-style power poles. It also comes with two (2) powerlines of different lengths. Ranges from 3k to 11.5k poly, depending on the pole. Diffuse texture created by original modeler. Normal map generated by RowCropSpecial. Utilizes GIANTS shared default_specular texture for gloss map.

All translations for the kit are set, meaning all you need to do is create a spline and run your choice of powerline script to create your powerline network.

I need these as a mod! Also need some High Voltage pylons and MV Towers. I would definitely pay if someone could make them!

The best prefab

The prefab is really good, but I noticed something very important… the collision of the pole is missing. I’m about to make a tutorial in Portuguese and I’ll leave the link to your prefab in the description of my video buddy! Keep your projects coming!

Hi,

Thanks for the positive feedback. I see that you are correct about the collision oversight. I will fix and reupload soon. In the meantime, you can create a simple, non-renderable box in Giants Editor and set the collisions appropriately.

Thanks,

Yes, I collided all the posts by creating a primitive cylinder inside the GE itself, giving it the correct collision attributes. And thanks for making the prefab available, it’s wonderful!

It took a while, but as promised the video has been made and the credits and links are in the description. Sorry for the delay, but my time is very busy. But thanks buddy!
